McKendree Village - Food Service General Manager/Chef McKendree Village

McKendree Village a continuum of care campus that offers Independent Living Apartments and Cottages, Assisted Living Apartments and Memory Care as well as Rehabilitation Services and Long Term Care, is looking for a Food Service General Manager/Chef to provide overall administrative and operational direction to our dining services department. We have a large and fast paced dietary department with a fine dining program and over 60 dining services employees working in 2 main kitchens with additional 3 serving kitchens providing 3 meals a day to over 380 residents in 6 dining rooms!

Job Requirements:
ACF Certified Executive Chef with multi-unit/multi-venue experience with at least 2 years experience as a Food Services General Manager
Certified Dietary Manager certification
ServSafe certification
Must be able to manage staff including hiring, training, supervision and evaluation
Effective communication and problem solving skills
Experience with budgets, ordering and expense control
Strong technical understanding of all health and safety regulations
Experience in senior housing, retirement living, or hospital setting a strong plus
College Degree Preferred
Previous experience managing front of house and back of house along with servers
