The Manchester ~ Coffee County Conference Center is the place to be Monday night June the 19 th for our chapters monthly meeting. Chef members, Bart O’Dare and Michael Osborne, in connection with event sponsors Robert Orr Sysco and The Jack Daniel’s Distillery, will be hosting. The evening will begin around 5:00PM with Hors d’oeuvres and complimentary beverage service. The meeting starts at 6:00PM and is followed by a special educational program put on by Lynne Tolley, proprietress of the famous “Mary Bobo’s Boarding House” in Lynchburg. Lynne is very connected to the culinary arts and is a chef in her own right. She is a member of the James Beard Foundation and was a guest presenter the evening of Stanley “Doc” Jensen’s induction. Lynne is Jack Daniel’s Great Grandniece and is a certified taste tester at her Great Grand Uncle’s Distillery. Lynne will be conducting a special “Family of Brands” taste testing and educational presentation for us that evening.
After the educational portion of our event, Mike and Bart have a multiple course gourmet dinner planned for us. Tana Shupe, guest services and event manager for the Jack Daniel distillery is working hard on providing us with some wonderful gifts and signature items to be part of our evenings raffle program. Tana recently coordinated the “Tennessee Spirits Trail” event hosted at the conference center. Her insight and thoughtfulness, in inviting the ACF Middle Tennessee Chapter provided those of us attending with an educational and networking opportunity, with some of the areas top tourism representatives. She has gone out of her way to help make this program a success. Let’s give back the best way we know how by showing up in record numbers.
A full sized air-conditioned tour bus will provide transportation for the first 56 passengers to make a reservation. The bus trip will depart from: 100 Oaks Mall parking lot around 3:30PM. Driving Directions:
From North: I-24 East to exit #114. At the top of the exit ramp turn left. Go over the interstate, through the light and turn left onto Campground Rd. Turn right onto Hospitality Blvd. and follow Blvd. to rear of Holiday Inn. The Conference Center is on your left.
From South: I-24 West to exit #114. At the top of the exit ramp turn left. Go over the interstate, through the light and turn left onto Campground Rd. Turn right onto Hospitality Blvd. and follow Blvd. to rear of Holiday Inn. The Conference Center is on your left.
From Tullahoma: Take Hwy 53 to Manchester. Turn right onto Hwy 41-South. Proceed toward I-24. Go over the interstate, through the light and turn left onto Campground Rd. Turn right onto Hospitality Blvd. and follow Blvd. to rear of Holiday Inn. The Conference Center is on your left.
From McMinnville: Take Hwy 55 to Manchester. Turn onto I-24 East bound and go to exit #114. At the top of the exit ramp turn left. Go over the interstate, through the light and turn left onto Campground Rd. Turn right onto Hospitality Blvd. and follow Blvd. to rear of Holiday Inn. The Conference Center is on your left.
