King of the smoozers - Darrell Breaux talking everyone who came to his booth into voting for him. With a Cajun drawl, he proclaimed that his bread pudding was so good that it would make your tongue jump right out your mouth and slurp your brains out. I think all the patrons believed him - and agreed. Another view of the chocolate fountain that "Ozzy" from Manchester-Coffee County Conference Center brought for the delight of our visitors. Someone's been studing Chinese Melon carving - it was a beautiful display.

Hard working panel of judges, exercising the strenuous discipline of tasting Ice Cream Desserts - tough job ..huh? Actually, it is tough discriminating nuances of flavor and the skill and craft of a particular creation.

The now famous Chairman of the 2nd Annual Ice Cream Competition, Cathy Hoormann. She was a tireless worker in this effort and single handedly brought this all together.
Tried to get a good shot of the crowded floor in front of all the booths, we had a good crowd. The watermelon conference, as chefs from the Rennaisance Hotel discuss how the afternoon will go. (Or maybe they were just telling a funny joke)
This conference looks more serious. John Vogt and his wonderful wife, from the Nick of Thyme are planning their afternoon before the festivities start. The ever smiling Laurie Potts, from the Wildhorse Saloon - one of last years winners - they really went all out with the Hawaiian theme.
Ann Cox - of Ann Cox & Associates - she is a Consumer Affairs & TV personality with Krogers Co. Supermarkets, The Tennesseed Egg & Poultry Council, and represents a whole number of fine companies and products. Chef Richard Gerst C.E.C.  A.C.C. of Summit Medical Center - many years an Exec. Chef and Culinary Educator in Oprylands Apprentice Program. Richard is a vetern of the Culinary industry with impeccable credentials.
Tim Tracy - Tim is the Sales Manager of Purity Dairies Ice Cream manufacturing division. If anyone can judge Ice Cream and it's commercial appeal it would be this gentleman. Ramona Finn, one of Purity's tireless associate - Ramona manned the Purity booth, dispensing a ton of Ice Cream and Purity bottled water. She is a joy to have in your corner.
Mark and Alison. Alison Harris is a marketing specialist that helps Purity Dairy. Mark Rubin is Director of Second Harvest Food Bank's Culinary Arts Program. Their help was invaluable in all aspects of the event. The Band Cobblestone - what a wonderful addition to the event. These exceptional musicians gave us their afternoon and their talents to entertain at the Wildhorse.
I understand that Cobblestone's members are made up of musicians who also work at the Wildhorse - donating their time and talents to our event. Their sound was terrific and provided for a very enjoyable afternoon. The afternoon in winding down as Dave Lowrance of the MTC-ACF collects the votes placed by the public for 'Best Booth Decoration' and 'Best Overall Dessert'

The Wildhorse Saloon is Nashville's #1 Dining and Entertainment destination and a mecca of entertainment in America. To capture the attention of Nashvillians and country music visitors, on June 1, 1994, the history of the World Famous Wildhorse Saloon began with country superstar Reba McEntire hearing a stampede of live cattle through the streets of Music City, also known as Nashville, Tennessee. The cattle were herded down Second Avenue and past the front doors of the newly opened club. Since then, the Wildhorse has continued to capture the interest of visitors with its award-winning menu, unique attractions and one-of-a-kind capabilities.
